Cold Hardy Collards

Cold Hardy Collards
Brassica oleracea
This collard seed came to us from BUG farms here in Salt Lake City, Utah. Here’s what they have to say about the variety:
This diverse strain of collard greens were grown on our small farm in Salt Lake City, and they are the result of a natural crossing between 3 different collard varieties: Champion, Flash, and Vates. There were also some lacinato kale genetics in their heritage. While the leaves are rounded and large and distinctly collard-esque, you may be pleasantly surprised to see some unique shapes, textures and increased adaptability as a result of their genetic diversity.
These collards are both cold hardy and heat tolerant.
Direct seed or transplant in the spring for a summer harvest, or in the late summer for fall and winter harvests. The flavor and sweetness is enhanced after a frost.
